I have tried to use the install manager to install Genesis 3 but it wont show up in the list to download in install manager when I click on download and install in my product library

I can install it manually but it is missing files so comes out as boxes in Daz

I have uninstalled Daz studio and reinstalled it using install manager and then when that didnt work have uninstalled it and re downloaded it manually and reinstalled it,

Am a bit lost as to where to go as all the content for G3 is there but G£ herself isnt working right

If I understood you correctly, you have installed "Genesis 3 Starter Essentials".
What are the error messages you get?
Is your content installed in Default locations, or custom locations?
This type of problems is usually caused by DS being unable to find the directory where you installed the content. There's no need to reinstall DS.

Exactly where is the Genesis 3 female showing if you look in the Content Library pane under DAZ Studio Formats?

Yes, she is in the wrong place.
It seems like you have just unzipped the DIM file directly to your library folder, so there's an extra "content" folder at the top level (DIM installs whatever is in that "content" folder, that's why it's there, but you need to remove it when you install manually).
Take everything in the "content" folder and move it up one level, so that for example "data" and "Runtime" are directly in the "People" library

You problem is when you installed manually you extracted the "Content" folder from the zip to your library, only extract the files and folders that are inside the "Content" folder. You now need to drag and drop everything in "Content" up one level.

You can tell DIM where to find the installer when you go to your product library, search for "Starter" an then click on G3 Essentials. If you click on the green "Download and install", it will open DIM with the Essentials.

(and yes, this looks as if you have installed things in the wrong place. The manual installer has a top folder "content". You have to move the content out of there to install it properly)

DIM is not picking up the downloads when I do that so have had to manually download G3 and the other two files
will move everlything and see what happens
    thank you for the help

If my DIM was working properly and I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, it would of been so much easier

It might be your download settings in DIM. Does it show up when you have checked all options?

Did you install using DIM (DAZ Install Manager), if so, DIM by default, installs to C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library

You need to make sure that the path is entered as both DAZ Studio and Poser Formats in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager.

If you wanted the content installed to another folder (library), then you have to tell DIM where to install it to. DIM always installs files to the correct locations in my experience, but you have to change the settings in DIM if you want it to install to a folder you already use.
