So, what I'm after is basically the middle two outfits and the hair with that cute bit over her forehead, any leads?

but the shirt kind of puzzles me.
Thinking about it a little more, ideally I would want hair that is like the dolly changeable hair in the front but loose in the back, it's very characteristic of the design though that there has to be those strands coming down her forehead
You need a dforce long skirt, which would be separate from whatever top you chose. Changing texture colors is easy.

The blouse in this outfit might work for you. The skirt is dForce but is not as long as your picture and then there is that belt that gave me fits.

Any leads on the hair?
I went through my library of long hair with bangs and picked out a few that might do for you and that are fairly recent. You may have to play with the dForce settings, length, and other options to get the look you want. But if these are not what you want, look at the PAs' stores as they may have other choices I haven't bought yet that you may like better. I have been wishlisting many fine products recently, instead of buying immediately. So I may have missed some new options.

sorry for resurrecting a dead thread but I want to take another stab at this character design, any suggestions on how I could get that sort of 'shawl style' skirt?
What about other options for the hair? I've tried the hairs listed in the earlier comments but I can't get any of them close enough

I can definitely throw one of those two items into Maya and tweak to get it the rest of the way. It's pretty close enough almost out of the box.

Oh wow, that does look good,
also, there's a face / character on rendo called helena for g2f that is really really close for Jane's face, imo.
The it's always summer outfit is definitely a winner, can anyone please offer suggestions for any more hair, the closest I've been able to get is the Paisley Hair https://www.daz3d.com/paisley-hair-for-genesis-3-females but it's still pretty far.

Good to see that you are slowly accumulating all the necessary pieces. Hopefully we'll eventually see a render of Miss Jane Porter.
the face is being pretty tricky cause I have to sort of figure out how Disney Jane Porter would look like 'in reality' cause I'm not targeting cartoon facial proportions
Couple options. There are cosplayer that try various animated characters, And Jane Porter is certainly a popular one, you could check out that route.
and I don't know if you are into AI art generation, but there are option to add an existing image, and the AI, using its generative faculties augments that image to make it look more lifelike. Worth a try.

@FirstBastion : Thank you for your advice to look up photos of cosplayers, it's been really helpful towards my goal of making a Jane Porter with realistic proportions.

And this one is like 95% of the way there for her sort of 'main' look throughout most of the movie. The only thing is her iconic middle droop, I'll probably fuss with the hair in Maya to get that spot on but that's relatively easy, everything else is like it's made to order. I've looked A LOT and this is the closest I've found. Just wanted to share this for the record cause I bet I'm not the only one who's interested in making this character.
