And the latest entry in the "DAZ doesn't Read Their Own Verbiage Follies"

Let's see.. it says here while describing (or in this case not describing) the Mystery Box offer: "Massive savings on 10 never-before-seen Items"
However, it is then followed by
"BUY NOW * Items will be added to your Daz 3D Library on Sept. 5.
Cannot be used to discount items already owned."
Um... exactly how could someone try to use it to discount an item already owned if the items in the box are "10 Never Before Seen Items?" Now the question is which, if either, of the two statements indicates the actual status of the items.

They put that clause on just about everything, it was probably a cut-and-paste in error.
You guys are still doing that stuff?
You mean like about 50% their "sales" promos, that, when get called out, just get their wording changed?![devil devil](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/devil_smile.png)
I agree with you, SnowSultan: it does look a bit sloppy and Daz-confusing (to add to all the other Daz-confusions).
One of the reasons I do not buy into promo's like this, is one has no idea what one is getting.
New word could be Dazfusions.![laugh laugh](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
I like the idea of a mystery bundle....oh wait, no I don't.
A couple of possibilities...
1- Time Travel... if you went into the future and purchased the yet unreleased item at a lower price because it was older (at that point) and deeply discounted, you now own it, but nobody (now) has seen it yet.
2- Bad Lighting... or a malfunctioning monitor at DAZ... it's never been seen because nobody knows what the hell was picked and either the lights or the monitor will be repaired by September 5th which is when they'll know what they picked, but since they don't know, who knows maybe you already own it?
3- Broken Glasses... similar to the previous theory, but involves new glasses arriving on the fifth at which point all will be revealed.
4- Schrodinger's Cat Scenario... Similar to the paradox of quantum superposition... Do you simultaneously possess it, yet it does not exist until you see it?... highly likely if the content is a box stuffed with hypothetical cats.
5- Alcohol... It explains a lot of strange things I say.
6- Coffee Machine broke... lack of caffeine in certain individuals can create situations where words are hard and coherent thought remains elusive.
7- AI Generated Wordage... The singularity is closer than you thought and DAZ has been taken over by virtual Vickies still learning human speech.
Is it any of these, all of these or a combination of some?
Who knows...?
The important thing is not to get hung up on words or stuff that may or may not be seeable or currently in your possession in this reality or watermelons... the point is to live each day to the fullest like a feral capybara in the subway system of grammar, thankful that words are not something, something discount, percentage limited time offer bisquick mutton toaster nunchucks before midnight tonight.
Pop-Tarts.
like Antheia HD?
Could licking toads also be a factor?
I've just discovered how to divide by zero. It's possible when drawing a five sided triangle. I am returning my calculator that keeps displaying 'syntax error.'

On a more serious note, I'd asked about this last week.
A member told me that DAZ used to make up the difference if someone bought an item, then the item goes on sale soon after. If I understood correctly, buyers would be refunded the difference in store credit or something. Apparently they've changed policy and so the silly sentence appears storewide.
Five sided triangle = eternal-youth-granting pyramid?![surprise surprise](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/omg_smile.png)
Regarding the prices, you are correct. They used to reimburse you if the item got on sale within a certain period of time after your initial purchase. That happened every now and then when they had some amazing stacking sales in the days after the initial release. It's one of the reasons why usually don't buy on the first day.
Hmm. Given that DAZ is in Utah where a significant portion of the population doesn't drink caffeine, #6 could explain a lot of things. I'd actually already considered the Schodingers Cat scenario as one of my current cats is a Shrodinger/Burmese mix, but the way that played out in my modeling is that while you have and have paid for the item, you also do not have and did not pay for the item which, while it statistically equals a 50% stacking discount, it also means that half of the time that you use the item, it will not be in your library and DAZ Studio will crash.
They just over-caffeinate and over-sugar at the same time instead and drink coke.
...now you have me wondering if AM's long awaited domestic cat will be one of the items.
Today on Sept. 6th (the day after the "release" "opening" of the box)
it looks like
"the Box with 10 items, some of you (who have already paied for) will never see in DIM or your product library"
today is September 6 and I am tapping my toes waiting to see what I get after buying it on the 3rd was told the 5th but that is a US holiday so I expected it to be at least a day late
Daz is aware of and working to resolve this
I do wonder about their review process for written material. I assume the D-Talks! Avatar "Life Android" was supposed to read, "Live Android".
