How to prevent weightmapping from normalizing to another bone?

In blender a bone is connected to vertex groups.
when weighmapping, all the values will be normalized between these groups.

In DAZ how does it work?

How can we control it? Like when I dont want certain area around Left Thigh Bend bone receive value from Right Thigh Bone or Left Shin Bone.

  • The total weights for any single vertex must add up to 1 by default. it is possible to turn that off in Tool Settings with the Node Weightmap brusha ctive, but having weights more or less than one can lead to undesirable results.
