Problem with jagged braids? Marigold hair... (genesis 8 hair on genesis 8.1 female...)

I have never had this problem before with this hair, does anyone know how to fix this?
Apparently my problem is with trying to use a genesis 8 hair on a genesis 8.1 female model... Does anyone know how to fix this particular issue?

Have the hair been autofitted to the character?
It is a genesis 8 hair.
Modifications to breasts conflicting with weight mapping of the hair. Like breasts under curve. Some braided hair are weighted like clothes - they conform to the upper torso. You can find and zero all transfered character chest morphs if you enable showing hidden properties in the hair.
Okay I thought I had everything showing and when I click the stack in the left upper corner above the parameters tab it says show hidden is active, but there is nothing showing up.
Product: https://www.daz3d.com/marigold-hair-for-genesis-3-and-genesis-8-female-s
According to the product description the braids should be rigged, and then they would not be affected by character morphs.
I asked if it was autofitted, because these defomrations is what I would expect from an autofitted hair.
And besides the product has 2 hairs, one for G3 and one for G8
And I loaded the one for Genesis 8. I even deleted it loaded the genesis 8 version AGAIN and it started out straight and then, after a couple of seconds, went to the jagged thing again.
BAH... Aparently it is an issue with using Genesis 8 hair on a Genesis 8.1 figure... Well that is frigging annoying. If this crap keeps happening I will just go back to genesis 8...
Yeah I had loaded genesis 8.1 female instead of just genesis 8 female. Now anyone know if there is a workaround for this?
If you select the hair, does it then have dedicated bones for the braids?
In the scene window? yes.
Custom bones do not autofollow morphs, ie. one has to adjust the bones afterwards.
Which version of Daz Studio are you using?
4.15.0.2
I have loaded this hair on G8.1F with no issues. This problem happens if I use certain morphs like breast position to the left or right and/or cleavage morphs etc.
I think you need to update - try the Public Build, to avoid disturbing 4.15.0.2, and see if that helps.
Which one is that? I never mess with beta builds, only full releases after everything is fixed.
Which Genesis 8.1 character are you using? I did some tests with several different 8.1 female characters. For some of them, the tails on the Marigold hair looked fine, but on others the tails had the same jagged deformation below the breasts as shown in your image.
If that is indeed the problem you are experiencing, the issue is not unique to Genesis 8.1; I had the same problem on several Genesis 8 models, not just with the Marigold hair but some other styles. Removing the character morph from the hair under Hidden Properties doesn't work, of course, because that effects all of the hair and then it no longer fits the model at all.
As I recall, the workaround I came up with was to use d-formers to pull the ends of the tails back into their correct position.

The Beta is useful, i.e. if you still have work on older stuff to do, and major things change that would require a lot of conversion time (like, the emission light changes between the 4.20 version and the older versions, like you are using.
The fix is to adjust the bones.
This is a common problem with any hair that has custom bones, custom being bones that can not be found on the base figure.
Didn't do a thing other than take up space on my harddrive, still got the jagged hair.
Figures, I have never done that before. And it seems that it is full body morphs the hair is reacting to, and even with show hidden checked it does not display anything to remove from the hair.
It isn't that long ago, when I got fed up with non-functioning hair on figures that were not the default height. Then I looked at the bone structure of the hair after it had been fitted to a smaller figure... The extra bones for the braid were located way above the whole figure, still at the location where they would be for the un-morphed base figure and if one tried to pose the braid, it would distort horribly.
Took the bones downwards and the braid started posing as it should,
I have not tried adjusting the bones. I'll look into that the next time I have problems with hair fits.
Is there a way to make the hair dForce? A double braided dForce hair would be awesome, and I imagine wouldn't have this jagged issue
