RIP Your Majesty.
A sad day for all..
"The Queen is dead, Long live the King"
Came as a shock even though we knew she wouldn't last forever.
She had a good run and oversaw an ever changing world with grace and duty. An end of an era.
As Princess Elizabeth, she showed me that girls could be in the military. As Queen Elizabeth II, she set the example that she could be a working woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and an example of grace and dignity.
Bless you Queen Elizabeth. Find peace with Prince Philip.
My respect and prayers to the Royal Family and all British around the world. Thank you for sharing her with us.
Very very sad day

Very sad. She lived a long time and was queen so long. God bless.
"Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet Queen; and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
...indeed, she was remarkable, having the longest reign, 70 years, of any British monarch. Even in her last days she attuned to her duties which included receiving a new PM and accepting the resignation of the former one only days before her passing. In spite of some of the royal "scandals" that hit the tabloids feasted on, she was well loved by the people.
Her and Phillip, who passed on last year only two months before his 100th birthday, had the longest royal marriage, celebrating 74 years together.
I am 70 so I was born in England a few months before she became Queen. Therefore she has been a constant in my life. I'm one of that half of British society (although I have lived in New Zealand for the past few years) who is not a royalist but I am nevertheless feeling a sense of loss today.
Queen Elizabeth II was already in the history books when I was born over four decades ago. She had been before my parents were born too. Her passing away feels like the good old times fading away. In her, an irreplaceable symbol of grace and dignity is gone forever. Today is a sad day...
...she was coronated the same year I was born.
sorry
I'm an Australian who was born in Britain. I feel sad at the death of a remarkable woman. Not many nowadays put service to others before the their own needs.
...very true.
You don't have to be a royalist to respect and like this great queen. A real loss for the whole world. R.I.P.
...+1
Very sad here that there is another change amidst so many. Adds to uncertainty.
I feel that the best way the average person can honor her is by living up to her standard of dedication to duty and as others have noted above, 'service to others'.
There are small ways we all can touch others in our lives, especially younger people, and pass on her legacy.
She was the queen of all queens.
A good, long, meaningful life. We can ask for nothing more. RIP Queen Elizabeth II.
RIP Queen Elizabeth. Condolences to her family, country and the world.
Just pointing out this beautiful tribute I saw in the Gallery

And another beautful tribute:

I've watched some of the coverage. I particularly liked the Daily Mail which posted Youtube video of touching remarks by former PM's Boris Johnson and Teresa May.
I didn't see the coverage of her funeral. Is it on YouTube so I can watch it?
If you have 9 hours to spare, there is this (I hope it is available in your location - I'm in the UK and can see it)
I agree the BBC did a great job. I watched the coverage on their BBC app on my iPad during the mourning period. I appreciated their accuracy, historical notes, and respectful silence.
