Issue with DS 4.8

I'm using DS 4.6 and it works fine for me, but I want try DS 4.8, so I installed it in my notebook (Win XP 32 bit). I noticed two issues:
1) when I shut down DS remains an instance of it running and I have to use Task Manager to stop it;
2) DS 4.8 warns missing texture files that DS 4.6 seems not having problems to find. The strange is that, when I click on Locate button of warning dialog, DS opens the correct folder where the files are

    Sorry, I can't help with your first question.

    button of warning dialog, DS opens the correct folder where the files are

    Are you sure that the paths to your content folder are set up correctly in DS4.8? This is not an automatic process, and you have to go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager and make sure that the path to your library folder are listed under BOTH DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats there, so that DS knows where the content is located.

    Don't do that — after you close the program, it clears up the memory used and deletes all files in the temp folder. This can take a minute or so, especially if you've been working for a while or making a lot of changes to your scene; during this time your computer sees the program as still active. It is, sort of, but it's just doing cleanup jobs before it exits completely. Give it time to finish.

    I've had it take up to 5 minutes to finish cleaning up, after a long session.

    Mine take forever to cleaning up, yesterday one hour after shut down DS4.8 was yet running... When it's yet running it seems blocking the Document folder too (where there is main My Library folder): i can't open it...

    I don't think that's actually possible — if the D|S program were blocking anything, it would be the D|S program folder, not the D|S content folder. There must be an unrelated problem; maybe something to do with folder or account permissions?

    Well, I tried running DS4.8 as administrator and as user (it's installed as administrator) but I've same issue... could be related to Win XP?

    Can't help you there, I'm afraid, I switched from WinXP to Win7 a few years ago.
