soft skin transitions product series - anybody tried cross using?

New produc of the Soft Skin Transitions by Esid and FenixPhoenix came out today: https://www.daz3d.com/soft-skin-transitions-2-for-genesis-8-and-81-females

All of those products look interesting but there are some questions I wonder if anybody tried that already.

1) does it work on genesis 3 figures? I made a gen 3 male some time ago where I addied scales to the back and it was a tedious process and I'm not 100 % happy with it so if I could remake his backside skin with this product that would be great

2) can I cross use the materials from males to females? There seem to be different pattern and textured in the male and female packages and that would be very useful

Hi Linwelly,

Thank you for your interest in our products.

1) Since Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 use the same UVs, you should be able to apply the Genesis 8 Geoshell to Genesis 3 and then use the Gen 8 LIE Masks. Just remember to select the Geoshell, go to the Parameters Tab > Shell > Visibility > Surfaces > and toggle the Eyelashes OFF

2) This one has different components to it:

• You can use UV Swap to apply a Female Skin on the Geoshell and then use the LIE Masks of the Females Packs on a Geoshell worn by a Male.
• You can't apply all the LIE Masks from the Female Packs on a male skin (UVs) since they don't always match up at the seams. You can undoubtedly try mixing the Male and Female Pack's Masks that don't cross seams, though keep in mind that the female masks on a male may sometimes show offset to the position they were intended and viceversa.
