How do i tell if hair is sbh

I have a tool that colours dforce and sbh hair, and so far I have been unable to get it to work, and I don't know if the hair is SBH I'm pretty sure it is not dforce. I don't know if I using the tool wrong if the tool doesn't work or if the hair is not compatible.

Strand-based hair will usually show only a few guide hairs in preview, certainly in Texture Sahded. if you see the full model it may derived from a stand-model, most likely from another application, but has been baked. It may also be something like Look at My Hair.

Thanks, it does look like it is not strand based it would explain why the strand-based hair shader butchers it.

I am trying to apply https://www.daz3d.com/layered-strand-based-hair-shader-and-merchant-resource to https://www.daz3d.com/fe-classic-bob-hair-for-genesis-8-and-81-females, but all I get is what you see in the attached pictures.
