I realize I am running out of space on Drive C, especially as DAZ content is taking up so much room. I want to move some programs, if possible, to an external drive.
Will DS be able to run properly on the new external drive?
I want to put all my daz content on the same external drive also.
Thanks.

Yes, it's possible, though I generally find it preferable to keep programs (like Daz Studio) on an internal drive, and only put data (like DAZ content) on the external ones.
Depending on the version of USB connection and the drive, external drives may be noticably slower, so that is also a consideration. If there's energy (depends on the Power Supply Unit or PSU), room and wiring available inside your system, then an additional internal drive is usually better. If not, or if you want to be able to hook up the drive to other computers, then external is more useful.
But keep in mind that programs you install on an external drive might not run on other computers, because those would miss the required registry entries obtained during registration, which is why external drives are more suitable for data and less for programs.
I install all of my content to an external hard drive with no problems I use the Daz Install Manager to download and install. It's just a case of setting the default path in DIM.
Either way make sure you're backing up the content or the zips you download as it's a major pain to redownload everything except for the Daz stuff.
