Search feature missing from forums?

Browsing the forum on an old computer running Mozilla Firefox, there doesn't seem to be a "search box" for the forum content. For instance if I type "LAMH" in the top right corner next to the shopping cart, I get a list of AM products eg. the beaver, the bear etc.

Or do I have to *sign in* to be able to search forums content???

Hmmm... on reflection I *am* already signed in, since the system pulled up my avatar picture and so on... another thing that's missing though is the long thread about "Look At My Hair".

I received a notification eg. "Someone just posted in DAZ Discussion Forum" from just two days ago, and when I clicked on the supplied link to the thread I got "Page Not Found".

    Just saying....

New forum software...basically everything BEFORE yesterday morning (Utah time) is not going to work directly.  The new software uses 'discussion' as opposed to 'viewthread' in the URL, so if you swap that in, it will take you to the thread.  Direct links to particular posts aren't going to work as there is no direct equivalent in the new software.  The same needs to be done with bookmarked links, links form a Google site search, etc.

There will be (or is but not quite integrated) a regular forum search, but as of right now, it's not available.

    Try this for now...

Fair enough... although I'm kind of surprised no-one else noticed! Or had anything to add.

I looked again btw and this time it worked as it should - I didn't get "Page Not Found". Still, I think the "old" or "mid-range" body of messages needs to be labelled in some way, perhaps with a different page color or borders/window color scheme. The syntax for the LAMH thread was something like this http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/123456/ ... actually it was http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/855622/

So I'm trying to wrap my head around how all these resources are laid out.
