This transaction is taking longer to process than normal. Please be patient while....

I went to make a purchase within the past hour, and it gave an error at the top of the page, but I forget what the exact error was, some sort of it-didn't-work message.  I went to my transaction history, and there is a transaction showing for this purchase, but it shows as Processing on the history page, and when I go to the page for that transaction, it shows the message "This transaction is taking longer to process than normal. Please be patient while we wait for confirmation from the payment processor."

Someone else had a similar issue, and said that purchse did show up at his bank, but I do not see the purchase listed online at my financial institution.

Any idea what is going on here?  0o

edit: I now notice my financial institution shows the particular transaction as Pending. so it does look like it at least prelimnarily got through to their servers.

Well, it's all sorted now.  The transaction eventually went through, and I got my stuff.  Wierdly, the stuff was in the DLM, and downloaded/installed before the transaction finally finished. More or less what happened with that other guy.
