Daz Connect, DIM or Daz Central to install and loose stuff.

I have been using Daz for a very long time, Version 1. someting if I remember correctly. My nightmare is lately trying to keep stuff in one place, one copy.

What is the best one to use to install stuff, including software/plugin updates, etc.

If I understand it correctly the product info is in the meta data and the postgre DB gets created from the meta data. So if I move stuff, I can update the meta data with the correct path and rebuild the DB and smart content will show me only one copy of a product and there will be no lost files or stuff that needs to be installed that is installed, etc. Am I correct with my thought train?

Thanks in advance

Use DIM as it gives you most control over where things are installed.  In Studio's Preference settings set it to never log in so you do not get any accidental Connect installs.

    100% agreement here.

    DIM all the way.

Keeps the crap to do with downloading and installing out of the renderer, namely Studio.

Simple to use and does what it says on the tin.
