Line Across Render

Hello.

recently, I've noticed that a line appears on my iray preview and renders. At first I thought it was a pressure dial I was unknowingly using, but then I noticed that when I move the camera, the line can shrink, move or even disappear.

When lights or a HDRI is used, the line is reduced significantly, but not always 100%. 
 

I've searched around but couldn't find an answer for what exactly is causing this. Attached are two quick renders showing how the line changes depending on how close you are to the figure.

    Use older Nvidia drivers.

    I saw that happenning on certain scenes using some specific HDRI map. I switched to a different, then it was gone. Of course I forgot to note down which one it was so I could rage delete it lol......

    There has been a number of threads about this, and using older Nvidia drivers is the cure.
