Time for a System Upgrade

I'm currently sitting on an i9-9900K with 64GB RAM and an nVidia 3070 video card. With the anticipation of the 40-series coming out, I'm wanting to get my hands on a 4090, and decided to upgrade my entire system to go along with it.
I'll be building an i9-12900KS, 64GB DDR5 RAM, keepign the 3070 for now. I'm going to run a Daz benchmark on the 9900K vs the 12900KS. My thought is, there won't be a significant performance uplift, but I'll hang on to those results for when I get my grubby hands on a new video card. Any suggestions for what to benchmark? Maybe an easy-peasy scene with just a model and an HDRI, then one with a more complex environment, then one with multiple models in a complex environment?

You can take a look at this thread. It has a lot of really good info on benchmarks for DS and various cards. I'd start at the end and work backwards cause it a several year old thread that is still active with all the current information. The info in the thread should get you started on what to do and where to start. There is a lot of very techy info if that's what your looking for.
....crikey I'm looking at an 18 core Broadwell Xeon and 64GB of ECC DDR4 2133.(running a 3060.
