Does anyone understand Render Farm prices? Example Irender?

For example https://irendering.net/price/ ;

I was trying to figure out prices at place like Irendering.   For example they say it says

$14.8Node/Hour

  • MULTI GPU-SLI
  • 4xRTX 3090, 24 GB vRAM
  • NVLink™ : Request
  • NVIDIA CUDA® Cores: 4 x 10.496
  • GPU Architecture: Ampere, GA102
  • AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3955WX @ 3.90GHz
  • RAM: 256 GB
  • Storage (NVMe SSD): 2TB
  • OS: Windows, Ubuntu
  • Power Elite Support 24/07

So does that mean if it takes a render time an hour to do like 100 frames then it will only be $14?  Or is a node something else all together?

Trying to see if I can reder DAZ stuff elsewhere.

    From another website I found this:

    A node hour is the usage one node (server) for one hour

    Also Daz Jack Tomalin may have a rendering service available. [He used to, haven't checked recently.] He can be reached contacted via PMs.

    ..........

    eta: in the cost per node/hour ... that includes the time to upload all the scene to their server as well as the actual render time. {at least it does for Boost if I recall correctly}

    The one @Catherine3678ab is referring to:

    And another DAZ specific one:

    You have to check, if and how they do animations!

  • 100 frames in an hour does sound optimistic, though, even on that system.

    If it's DS stuff you're rendering, Iray server doesn't do animations, so that's the first thing to inquire about.  You'll be charged for as long as you are logged in, and that will include the time it takes to upload assets.

    With an "unlimited-use" service like Jack's, you will need to queue, but won't be charged for upload time, or for render time.  There are limits to the "unlimited-use", however, and animations would require separate arrangements.

    Given that GPU prices are coming down now, it might be advantageous to set up a separate render machine if a large number of renders, especially animations, are involved.
