how to use the spot render option

can I get the directions on how to, cant find any video on it or figure it out how to, I cant even find the command for spot render this time I looked, (thought I had always found it in the past),

Click on the Spot Render Camera Icon

Use the mouse to select the region in the viewport, and it will render

If you want to render it using the active camera then select the Spot Renderer in the Active Tools Options - then switch to New Window as Viewport is the Default Option.
