Change all keyframes from TCB to Linear

Hi,

I have relatively big animation, there's really a lot of keyframes and it would be extremelly time consuming to manually change them.. not to mention my pc almost always freeze for couple of seconds (6-7 sec.) when I select just a single keyframe.. is there a quick/better way to change them?

  • Sure, just highlight them all and click linear.

  • manual highlighting one by one or group by group is really a bad option, in this case, because I have there lots and lots of keyframes.. I would rather find some other solution, something like highlight them all at once by some shortcut (CTRL + A doesn't work) or some other method..

  • Just click and drag over the entire timeline, you don't have to go one by one. I do this every day for large groups of keyframes, especially when I copy and paste a keyframe and everything goes wonky, I have to highlight everything and turn it to linear and then back to TCB to get rid of the euler rotation.

  • and how you do that? when I try to click and drag, it doesn't go down, even if I have my cursor down on the keyframe screen or below it.. and when I use mouse wheel to go down, then it highlight nothing..

  • You can't be starting on a keyframe and you can't see the hand icon, it has to be the arrow. Sometimes you have to find a centimeter of space to be able to click. At times I go to the far right or left, or underneath the row of keyframes. If I need to highlight stuff from say frame 159 on and I can't get that sweet spot at 159, I'll just highlight 159 and delete it, and then I can get the pointer in there and highlight everything after. Here's a quick video showing it works. My screen capture didn't show the box showing TCB, Linear, and Constant either, but that's what I did in the beginning. Also make sure you have everything in the Types button marked, I wiggled my cursor around it at the end.

  • omg I expanded them all and I was highlighting the circles one by one *facepalm*.. I didn't realize that I could only highlight the triangles and changing them to linear would change all the circles to linear.. thx fot the video, it was really helpful!

  • You're very welcome! I figured it'd be easier to show you than trying to continue to explain. Good luck with the project!

  • yeah, it was very helpful, because I couldn't wrap my head around, how can you highlight them all when everything is expanded :D thx a lot, again!

  • You can also select by right-click menu
