Where is the free item?

Several people tuned in the special announcement iclucing me.

No free item yet, not even the latest build for Daz Studio.

But with so much fanfarre is being told about Victoria 9 angry

Also I have not found any entry with what was announced just recently.

    There was a download link in the chat window.  It is no longer available.

    Getting a free item is always nice, but it is not must have.  Basically a pair of yoga pants with a sports bra made to fit G9 or G8/8.1

    This was the outfit fitted to genesis 8 by creating a morph in zbrush. Shaders applied

    Original was plain black and white with a daz logo.

    eta: And there is/are another one or two free items if one pre-orders V9 or the V9 bundle.

    And the pr-order too expensive, screw that, no thanks, I will stick to whatever is free, because I have not produced anything and I have spent more than I have imagined for nothing.

    That's correct, 1 link to download a clothing item now. The other free items will be put into the Product Libraries along with whichever choice of V9 one purchased.

    Producing something? You know of all the tutorials available, you know you may ask specific questions in the forums if/when you come across a bump in the road, but nobody can tell you how to "make art." Making art comes from within. Think about the story or stories you want to tell. Sketch out some ideas on real paper. Then use D/S to flesh out those sketches.

    Inspiration might come from photos or from 'the masters' of art ... consider the portraits of old. Everything in a portrait is there for a reason. Books, the model is literate and learned, various symbols, the model belongs to some group and/or is of some special family, and so on, and many even have a little "ufo" flying around in the sky through the window in the portrait.

    Have fun with D/S - try the different settings, see what happens. One can only learn so much from reading or watching videos, one has to DO, follow along with tutorials, experiment on your own too. As you do, you will learn, that's how it goes.

    @Catherine3678ab, Let me guess, you look imaginative when you say "how to make art"

    I am experimenting with whatever I want to do, but there is no fun.

    I have no enthusiasm like you when things go wrong.

    The finer details when working with DS are neever shown on screen in the videos.

    Only exemption are some written tutorials, I can follow them instead of the confusing videos, the later I would rate them 0 for poor usability.

    To take out my frustrations I would play some of the nifty Steam Games being sold for a better value (and there are some free games at Epic Games Store)

    No fun with DS, that's remind me of a retro song aired in the radio from the group DEVO "Freedom of Choice" part of the lyrics says: "freedom of choice, what do you want..."

    If ranting could solve problems, we'd be living in a utopia by now. However, after seeing the reveal, it doesn't really cater to the hobbyists so it was more or less a nothing burger for most. I can see and understand the sentiment.

    I'm not sure how folks feel after spending hundreds/thousands on content for Gen8 only to have to buy a new set for the next gen. Probably not too swell.
