How do I roll back to an earlier version? Iray won't work with my GPU.

I've noticed that rendering is particularly slow on my PC and after reading through the logfiles I found this:
Iray [WARNING] - IRAY:RENDER :: 1.1 IRAY rend warn : GPU 1 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770) with CUDA compute capability 3.0 is unsupported by this version of iray photoreal for technical reasons (compute capability 5.0 or higher is required)
I can only render with CPU now, which is slooooow.
How can I install an earlier version of DAZ Studio?

Contact support, through the "Help center"(Help>View Help center>Submit a request(top of page to the right))
From what i can find, the last version to support Kepler based gpus, such as the 770, was 4.14.0.1.
That came out in dec 2020 btw.
Personally i'd just like to know how you managed to render on a 2GB card?
Slowly, and more often than not, overnight. It was never fast.
I do need to upgrade the video card.
Unless you have a backup copy of the install files for the version of DS you want to rollback to, your only option is to contact support.
I do have the install files for 4.12, but not 4.16 which would probably be best.
Although what would be even better is a new video card. So I have an ASUS Pheonix 3060 V2 12GB on the way. I've been deliberating for years and my card is so far behind the times it is just pointless trying to work with it.
4.16 wouldn't be best, since latest Iray version supporting your GPU was apparently in 4.14
But yes, new video card is indeed a better long-term solution.
The prices on Nvidia 3060's with 12megs of vram are no longer insane to the point of selling your body parts to get one. Got a new 3060 for my kid brother for around $400 us dollars and he just uses it for gaming. With the bit coin collapse and the new 4000 series coming out soon > it is a good time to get a 3060 just make sure it was not used for bitcoin. Bitcoin miners tend to not undervolt their cards and these cards were used in poor cooling conditions which tends shorten the life of these cards. Some miners know what they are doing but they are not the mainstream user of these used cards. Here is some wisdom it it seems to be too good of a deal it probably is not! Good luck.
