Probably like many of you my hard drive dedicated to Daz is getting full. I'd like to buy an additional one just for Daz and Blender files. Does anyone have an external ssd drive that they high recommend either from your own use or reviews you trust (friends, coworkers, etc)?? Getting lost in a wave of reviews that say they love their ssd drive or it is the devil. Thanks!

Have a SanDisk Extreme Portable 2TB and cannot complain.
Been buying Western Digital (WD) for ages. I've got 29TB of hard drives at the moment. 5TB of them in SSD. Can't complain. Very affordable hard drives and damn reliable hardware. So ... yeah I'd advise WD. Last ones I bought : 5TB external USB for 110 euros (it's insanely cheap now). And 2TB internal SSD (2,5") for about 190 euros.
If you go for WD, no matter which hard drive you choose, there is very little chance that you will be disappointed.
Do you go for SATA or PCIe-NVMe SSD? I'd be interested in preferences too.
Western Digital come highly recommended but it is the only external drive I've ever had issues with... It just doesn't play nice with my other (seagate) external hard drives causing slow file transfers and persistant flickering of movie files during playback also on one occasion i got a corrupt file which i seemed to have fixed now but it scared the life out of me and prompted me to get everything backed up! I still use it but I don't trust it.
I'm not picky and actually considering going with HDD considering price vs size. I don't mind if isn't the fastest on the market as long as it is reliable and either 2TB or probably 4TBs as Daz used up my other 2TB fairly quickly. Thanks for the suggestions so far. Hoping to narrow down options and order by/on Monday.
