Vincent Price made some great movies.
But then he made two Dr. Goldfoot movies and a Dr. Goldfoot TV special. Here is the first of 3 youtube vids of his TV special. This TV version has a special appearance by Harvey Lembeck; you might remember Harvey from the truly great movie, Stalag 17. Or, you might remember him as the leader of the bikers in the Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon Beach Blanket movies. I am yearning for the days when the biggest threats to the world were bikini machines. NVIABMWAS, naked Vicki in a bikini machine with a scheme.

Maybe you could use the attached, "beat to fit, paint to match".
Actually, I am modeling my own to share. The bikini machine is basically just a big cube with greebles on the side facing the camera and a conveyer belt type exit on the side. You know, a lever and some flashing lights. It was in the first video, but is actually operated during the first 40 seconds of the second video.

Sounds like something even I might try to "model". Although I usually spend several hours looking for a purchased model to avoid fifteen minutes modelling it myself.

Here you go. Your very own machine of villainy for all your Republic Serial cliffhangers. Sorry, you will have to apply your own textures.
What you get.
1) A cube with greebles facing the camera.
2) A lever with rotation constraints to start the machine
3) A rigged electric cord to unplug in the nick of time!
4) A dolly with translation constraints so someone can be either fed into the machine or produced by the machine
5) A monitor on the side of the machine with a UVMap that matches a square. That way you can use your own image and put any label you want on the machine, or have a countdown, or whatever.
6) A chute on the other side of the machine to pour in ingredients, or spew out smoke, or...
7) Curtains with morphs to open where the dolly enters/exits the machine

The Trap
Bruce visits Penguin's umbrella factory to plant a bugging device, in order to learn his next move. But a detection alarm goes off, and Penguin puts Bruce to sleep with a gas umbrella. His thugs tie Bruce up in a net, and put him on a conveyor belt leading to a large furnace (usually used to forge umbrella ribs).
The Teaser
"For Batman's sake! Keep your bat fingers crossed until tomorrow!"
The Escape
The intense heat wakes Bruce up, but he is unable to get off the conveyor belt. Luckily, he can reach the cigarette lighter in his jacket. He throws it into the furnace, and the resulting explosion blows him onto the ground. He then gets out of his bonds and makes a run for it back to Stately Wayne Manor.

Bikini Machine Monitor Screen - Applying an animated shader.
The bikini machine (machine of villainy) has a monitor next to the lever. I UVMapped the monitor screen as a perfect square filling up the UVMap. That way, one can render out an animation and apply it to the shader of the monitor and it will apply. Best to use the same dimension as the monitor for the animation.
As a test of animating the monitor screen, I rendered an animation of the genesis 1 figure being morphed from a horrific monster minion to a bikini robot minion. The genesis 1 is wearing a UVMap bodysuit. Here is a test of a closeup of the monitor screen followed by the same viewed from a distance. In the distance view, the monitor is in the lower right side part of the machine. Should not have used a green background for the distance view.
Testing, testing
To use a movie file as an animated shader...
- open the color channel of the shader tree and choose Texture Map
- click the open folder to import a file
- in the list of file types, go to the 'movie files' list
- in this case, I had rendered to AVI format, so that is what I chose.
- I also put the movie file in the Glow channel, but that is optional - use to taste.

How about a Beta Disintegrator?
Now that you have a bikini machine honoring Vincent Price, you probably need a Beta Disintegrator honoring Zsa Zsa Gabor. One may be in the works. Stay tuned. The classic movie is Queen of Outer Space. Hits all the vintage scifi buttons of the 50s and 60s. I think the men's costumes are the same or small alterations of the uniforms in Forbidden Planet. The danger machines have the same cube-like attention to detail as the Bikini Machine.

Dr. Goldfoot and the Biini Machine Trivia
Svengoolie is a camp-horror B-Movie presentation show carried by MeTv. Here is some trivia about Vincent Price and the gang. Thought it was interesting that the movie was a big hit in Italy, so they made a sequal with an Italian director and adding a comedy team popular in Italy.
