Returning after 10 year Absence
First, hello everyone. Second, I'm saddened because I spent no less than a $1000s of dollars here on content from Michael / Victoria 3 to 7 - and I've tried over and over to get access to account that I opened back in 2005 - moved from England back to America - divorced - moved some more and now I'm settling back in and wish to return to this world of art only to find I've lost everything. I made the mistake of not downloading and backing up everything and even if I did - not even sure this NEW and improved Daz will show it, and I'm on a NEW computer, Windows 11 - so very frustrating and heart-breaking. It is sooo very expensive to start from scratch.
Not even sure if I have the energy or money to do so. But I miss it. I've opened tickets to try and find the old account, but they said they couldn't find it. I had a gallery here loaded with art as well. I believe the last work of uploaded to it was my book cover.
I suppose I should keep on trying. But I don't know what else I can provide to help locate my old account.

Are you making sure you are using the same account as the one you bought all your assets from? You have to make sure it is the same info that you used to purchase the assets. Once you figure that out and the products are there, install DIM (Daz Install Manager) and set it up and then you can download a bunch at once and if you want it to will will save a copy/zip of all the products on the drive you specify. If you forgot the info for the account you purchased everything on then submit a ticket to CS and they may be able to access your account.
I remember you.
I hope they can get you set up with all your old content again.
Welcome back! Don't give up.
it depends on email, phone number, address etc at the time, if you can prove ownership of any they should be able to find, it ie old phone bills, tenacy agreements, mortgage agreements a statutory declaration signed off by a justice of the peace that the information is correct
if no longer have the email look at payments method
paypal transactions, credit card history, order numbers on both
Yes having the original email for the account is a good start. However, and sadly, yes some accounts/orders/etc. have been lost.
On the other hand, Genesis 9 launches about mid-October, and the new V9. So you're just in time to start a new collection with the new figures :-) All the previous Genesis base figures [1,2,3,8] are included with the free D/S download. And, in October there is normally the PC+ now called Daz+ anniversary sales -- hopefully with lots of products going on sale - historically $1.99 for a day - so 'tis possible to pick up some content at an excellent price :-)
Welcome back :-)

I hope you can get your stuff back! Genesis 3 stuff in particular is still great, I use it all the time alongside G8 and G8.1
Old accounts can be revived, if one remembers and has access to the email address that was used with the old account, but doesn't remember the password, one can ask the system to reset the password and send an email to the email address that was used in creating the account.
In my case I didn't have access to the old email address anymore, so the support had to change the email address on the account to one that was not used for any current DAZ account.
My ancient account had been in use from 2003-2011 and all the old purchases were there once I got access to it again.
Good thing I have had my email addy for over twenty years. I still know my email addy for AOL last I knew Verzion own them. I doubt that it works anymore.
Am so sorry to hear about your issues. PerttiA has said it well in regards to getting it back. But if they cannot find the account at all, that is another story sadly =\
I really wish the very best for getting it back. In any case though, on a more lighter note, welcome back <3 ^^ I imagine you'll be feeling like a lot has changed or at the very least, plenty more new things hehe =] Don't hesitate to ask any questions if need be. <3
welcome back
I should mention that, as a non-native english speaker, at one point during the process I started to have doubts about my communication skills in english...
Welcome back! I hope you can find your content.
I wouldn't have guessed from your posts (although your username suggests Finnish to me). I know English-only speakers (British and American) who communicate worse than, for example, Dutch or Scandinavians who speak English as a second (or third) language.
Learning a second language, one tends to learn the "rules" in a much more formalized manner than native speakers of that language. You need to understand not just THAT such-and-such word or phrase means something, but WHY.
Welcome back! I remember you also. I hope you get everything sorted with Daz.
Sorry about your troubles with your Daz account. Hope it all gets fixed quickly. Welcome back.
I certainly do remember you, glad to see you back!
I'm sure everything will be straightened out quickly.
V7 was around much less than 10 years ago? Did you have two accounts before and maybe you've forgotten one of the older 10 year+ accounts?
Keep after them to find your accounts. I recently had them reset / repair a flag on my account regarding it's status and their attempts to fix it locked me out of my account for a week and at first I was told they couldn't even find the account. Was I surprised but I wasn't in a panic because I knew it was likely just a case of an a typical employee revolving door of inexperienced programmers / database users trying to figure out their job at yet another new workplace. Give them time & they'll figure it out and find it for you but you have to throw every bit of information you can muster for them to search the database to find your old account(s). And then, remind them twice a week to give you a status. They are busy, so the nagging is kind of mandatory if you don't want the ball dropped, Try every Monday & Thursday. That frequency is reasonable but not too overbearing for the high dollar amounts you say you have tied in in DAZ Studio products.
For information to gather to help them find your account it's as simple as going to your bank or other financial institution and requesting your old statements that list payments to DAZ3D.com. Give them multiple payments and everything in the details of those payments that the financial institution retained. The DAZ 3D customer support then can formulate the proper database query to find your account and no one else's, because you also need to prove it's your account as well.
Be sure to tell them the last month, or at least last year, you logged into your account successfully and a few of the products you ordered too, and what month and year, or at least year, you ordered some of the products that you can remember. You likely remember some of them and that will help customer support find your account when combined with the actual financial institution transaction data you supply them. The financial institutional data and proof of unique identity are important though to establish unique identity andf actually find you account in the database because as you can imagine we all buy the same products at the same prices, mostly.
I saw this post and just wanted to check in! @mercedeskeyes I was able to find your old account and I'm seeing some new activity on there. Was our customer service team able to help get access? Did you need any further help?
Thank you everyone for your comments and replies! Yaaaay - a brilliant salesperson helped me find it and the email it was under, I was in tears! Now, the problem is I spent the night installing most of it for it to show up in a postage stamp icon with an exclamation mark! I have forgotten ALOT! I used to be pretty good with Daz - but with years away and content updates, I'm almost lost! That upload is what I get and nothing can be found when I click on it. I uninstalled it all, including Daz Studio - 4.20.0.17 version.
I'm back to learning everything all over again... but I will! Does anyone know where I can find help to install and SEE my content correctly? I do have Daz Central installed as well. The only thing that is showing up correctly is the new content characters and props I've bought. The old... no joy
Yes yes yes!!! I'm thru the moon happy! I thought it was all gone never to be found again. Very happy that after persistently getting on you alls nerves, someone found my old account! I'm so happy to be back here, life has been rough, but I'm recovering and I MISSED my 3D artwork outlet. I dropped everything and now, I'm trying to get back to where I once was. You guys rock here!
Actually my account went back to Sept 2004! But I last used it 10 years ago - and then dropped everything. But I'm back now
Look under your content directory manager and see if it's linked to your content folder(s). Go to your Content Library Tab and click the hamburger menu:
Then check under Daz and Poser formats and see if the correct path to your content is there. If not, add by using the Add button under Directory on the left.
BTW, how did you install your stuff? With Install Manager, Daz Connect or Daz Central? It's hardest probably to use Install Manager but ultimately it's much more controllable where things get installed :)
Great. It's also good to know they have old user accounts still on file for us from so long after not being used. Makes me glad that I didn't waste all the money I spent here.
+1 was also quite relieved to see that DAZ is reliable on this matter.
So glad you are sorted, welcome back.
Me TOO! I've spent ALOT of money here way back when, and apparently - I want to give them more again! LOL
OMG!!!!!! That worked! I have forgotten sooo much! It's like starting all over again! It's all coming in. WOW - this is why I LOVE IT HERE!!!
