Help with new freebie
I made a pair of 1940's shoes for G8F, but I am having a lot of issues with them. I can't convert them to a figure without them warping, probably because I modeled them with the G8F feet not flat. Does anyone have any tips? Or feel like testing them (as props)? Or feel like messing with them to make them fit as a figure?

Rigging heals is a little troublesome.
Did you use reverse deformation when transfer rigging.

This is great, btw. I was able to fix up my shoes and get them to fit. They look really deformed if you apply them to G8F without the foot pose, but I'll include that in my readme.
Actually, the deformation is really happening quite a lot when I pose, despite it looking fine when the foot pose is applied.. I followed the weight mapping tutorial after reverse deformation but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Check it out. Exploding shoes.
You should submit these to the military. They are always looking for exploding stuff.
It looks like some verteces have weights that belongs to something very different than the foot bones.
I would suggest to put her in default pose, and then just move a foot slighty, then it should be more obvious where the problem is.

Or find the corresponding pJCMs and make replacement morphs in the shoes.
Or, make for the properly posed foot, as props. Include foot pose with product.
I think that would be hard with heels without making them look warped. Then again, they already look warped, so....worth a shot.

All the suggestions I would make have already been said. I think Catherine's idea of pJCM's sounds like a good one.
Quick question on making clothing for Genesis these days is pJCM's the equivalent of a JCM in the figure or is there a finer distinction? and is the naming used in the morph name and I'm assuming they need to be hidden?
Also, is there a tutorial out there for making morphs with pJCMs?

No problem, I'm doing a freebie for genesis at the moment so I also need to work it out.
OK, so I got fed up with this and went with Catherine's suggestion of re-making them for a properly posed foot. Now they work fine! Just figured I'd update everyone. I will be releasing them shortly and hope they are good enough, because I'm totally done with them :-)
I tend to think of those old Barbie dolls we had, posed foot, shoe props, no problems. And honestly, when walking in heels there isn't much foot movement.
And this is why I try never to wear heels :-) They look great on Barbie, though!

As an artist, I used to try to make clothes or decorate Barbie by giving her make up and coloring her hair. My sister, the scientist, used to rip off her legs and arms to see how they were put together.
I made clothes for my daughter's barbies when she was little. I have a barbie that someone made for me, they handpainted it, made it a rogues outfit complete with knife attached to the pantaloons.
