Blackwood Manor Lights

What is the secret to getting Blackwood Manor lights to come on, as shown in the promo?

I've tried everything I can think of and nothing creates a light from inside.

Do I need to create my own?

From the product page: "Light sets for the manor are also provided."  To find the light sets, manually download the product folders, and manually open them up, and look to see where the lights sets are located in your content folder.

When I used these they only light up the lantern on the outside of the house, the doorway and the inside rooms are lit up in the promo, but the lights do not light up these parts.

I tried the "Front" and "Back Lights" but they just seem to light the environment outside the manor.

I will look at "All Files"  to see if I have missed something.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the all the help.

I discovered that the two Blackwood Manor Sets, the "painted" version and the desolute, boarded up version, are very different for the lights.

The upkept "painted" Set that looks maintained well with no boarded up windows, does indeed have lights inside.

So I was using the wrong Set all along.

Okay, I thought it would be more straightforward. I guess I'll find out myself when I get around to installing it.

When you install it, let me know if you are able to light up the mansion with the boarded up windows. I feel like that one could use some lights on inside for Halloween. wink

When I loaded the complete destroyed version the lights weren't 'on'/visible. When I went over into the scene tab and and hit the eye icon the lights were on. Did you check to see if your lights were visible?

If you're loading the full set of either the Blackwood Manor (clean) or Blood Manor (derelict), the lights are there but are turned off by default (visibility). Just expand the Manor group in the Scene tab and you can turn them on there by clicking on the little eye icons. If you load them separately they are on by default.

Both versions of the manor can be lit from the inside with the provided light sets. Depending on your environment, you might need to increase their Lumen value to make them more visible, or you can decrease or remove the curtains' visibiity via the Surfaces tab.

    I hope that helps. :)

I will try these suggestions again.

I had initially tried to turn them on for the Derelict version, by clicking the eye as you suggested, before I started this thread, and it had no effect, but I may have done it wrong the first time.

    Thank you.

It worked! Time for a Halloween party!

Opening the front doors and removing the boards from the windows helped too.

Maybe you need to give your pc a chance to load it once you start the iray preview depending on what else you have running or maybe double check you didn't click it twice and turned it back off? :)

Thanks. Not sure what I did the first time. But I noticed sometimes you have to Ctrl-Click the eye to enable/disable a property sometimes.

It works now. Thanks for the assistance.

The ctrl-click toggles everything parented below that node.
