Amity Makeup Problem

I just tried Amity for the first time a few mintues ago, and no matter what I do, I can't put the "natural" makeup on her. She renders with very dark, shiny lips when she should look like she has no makeup on. Has anyone else tried this character and had the same problem?

Sorry about the delay but it took a bit to load her and test. I loaded her, put a basic HDRI on, and found the same thing you did. I then tried her 'skin' mat and same as your render again. I then tried her 'natural' makeup, and again, just like your render. The promo page does say she comes with a natural option, but everything I find shows eye makeup and lipstick on her just like you did.

I have also checked and found the same issue.  The issue with the lips seem to be due to the glossy and thin film settings on that material but I could not find an obvious setting that was messing it up.  However copying the Face material and pasting onto the Lips and got a definate improvement.

This probably warrants a support ticket, nice if the creator could put out a fix for her.

It is not just the lips, which have a distinct line drawn around them, and color filled in, but also eye makeup. I believe this is supposed to be a natural makeup look, but not a nude face without makeup at all, which is a disappointment. If I needed her for a historical render she would be worthless as that is a modern style facial makeup.

And from personal experience, when I had to wear gas masks or protective gear that would cause me to sweat heavily into my eyes, makeup is the last thing you want to wear.

If a charactor do not have a no-makeup option, I will usually avoid those. There is just so many situations where make-up would look weird.

  • It is not good, it caused me to pass over using the figure (which I got in a bundle) when I first got it, this thread made me take another look.  I have raised a support ticket.
