Question for the PAs - Female Armour

Just a simple request for any PAs who make fantasy armour etc. Some of them are great, and not too sexually revealing...but for the love of God, can we ditch the high heels? It's kinda hard to run into a muddy battlefield with 6" stiletto heels.
Just saw the new Imperial Cadet armour, looks great...but heels?

Given how these threads have gone in the past I am going to preemptively remind everyone to be civil. There is nothing wrong with liking high-heeled armour, there is nothing wrong with not liking it and wanting something else - there is no need to try to invalidate other tastes or goals..
The market dictates supply. The easiest fix is to find a set with low/flat heeled boots, like the Valiant or Elven Royal, and use those boots with everything else, using shaders to match textures.
I am reminded of the old parody RPG "Macho Women with Guns" (and the add-ons "Renegade Nuns on Wheels" and "Batwinged Bimbos from Hell"), where one of the core skills is "Run in High Heels"..
I have nothing against high heels, and they do provide attractive shaping for the legs and behind, but this is somewhat moot with most armors. I would also like to see these oufits come with a "flat heel" option. I am using the same fix as Sevrin suggests.

:) Not trying to stat a fight. And no, there's nothing wrong with high-heeled armour. I'm just trying to build up the assets for a fantasy-based graphic novel
Same here (fantasy and SF), and I need practical armor, footwear, and weapons (although I must admit I own or have wishlisted most of the impractical/bikini armor)![laugh laugh](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
The Knight Series 02 is an example of the kind of boots I am looking for.
My pet peeve is when an armor outfit is made to not be a cheesecake, but then it's ruined by having heels or wedges. I don't mind heels on armored bikinis, though.
But I'm mostly doing fantasy Hollywood "Ancient" armors anyway, so everyone wears sandals and a few straps and buckles are really easy to match with any outfit. Using shaders.
Skipped on more than one sf armored suit precisely because it had no flat boots option, however.
Heel/flat options would be cool. I usually just fudge it by obscuring the feet anyways.
A loooong time ago I read something here in the forum about flat soled footwear being harder to design realistically in 3d. Which seems true to me, as many flat shoes look kinda.. fryingpan-ish from their design.
I am absolutely no expert in Medieval armor nor game player, is it possible a knight's boots would be like riding boots, with enough of a heel to catch a stirrup, yet be able to kick free when the rider's horse was killed out from under them?
I'd like to see some armor that acutally has a flatened chest area, instead of modling around a female's breasts. Real armor/flak jakets/bullet proof vests and the like don't stretch around breasts.
Of course, I realize this is probably impossible with the way meshes actually work, but a morph to flatten G8Fs chest (or whichever generation) would be nice.
If the artists didn't insist at making fantasy flat boots soles super thin and featureless, it wouldn't look bad. Just look at all the contemporary combat wear and scifi armors without heels and with substantially thick soles.
Heels are easier to model, but also harder to rig.
Anyway, with me it's usually more male armors bought because if I want a non-pinup armor it's better to buy a G8+M suit and run it through the gender conversion.![laugh laugh](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
Except for muscle cuirasses with modeled nipples... Those look quite INTERESTING if you cram them onto a female figure.
Yes, this has been raised before (by me, for one) - the problem is that when a shape is applied, if it affects the breast shape the difference from the default shape will be projected into the armour, producing weird distortions. Aplying a rigidity Group might help with that, but because of the size of the area that would have to be included it might then be problematic with other shapes that should project into the armour (or other heavy/constricting clothing).
It'd be easier to weight the armor to the torso bones only (no pectorals) and turn the armor into a geograft hiding the breasts. It'd still fail on extremely customized characters because of morphs others than breast sizes/shapes.
I think morphs to the hidden areas would still be projected, though, so it would not avoid the shaping issues.
...Zev0's Breast Control has a "Breast Zero" setting as well as a, "Impact Front" pose morph while other breast utilities have similar adjustments. There is also a freebie flat chest morph for G8.
PA's could just offer a morph to change the heel and sole. A little extra work will please both camps, and potentially improve sales.
A morph cannot stop other morphs from affecting the shape.
..well one of the best more "plausible" sets is , unfortunately for V3.

Despite it's ornate appearance, the following doesn't have an obvious breast "moulding". and has flat boots. One caveat are the pauldrons as they look like "blade catchers" that would allow the arm to be lopped off. at the shoulder. Maybe using the breastplate and boots to kitbash with other armour components might work (as well as retexture depending on how the material zones are split up). .

Can't you just zero the morphs related to the chest area applied to the armor?
