save the changes of "smoothing modifier"

Hello,

I have another problem I can not solve. I have a character that I properly dressed with the tool "smoothing modifier." When I move the character, everything is reset to 0 and the parameters are recharged with bottom loading bar. Loading is long and when I use the tools "animate2", it has no effect on the character because the parameters are recharged.

How to save the changes of "smoothing modifier"? So I can move my character normally.

Thank you for helping.

The smoothing modifier is a dynamic modification, it has to recalculate every time the pose changes.

    Thank you for answering.

But precisely how to set the parameters once and for all?
I want to move my character without loading.

Select the item and go to Parameters tab under General - Mesh Smoothing menu and turn on Interactive Update. And see if your hardware can handle it.

    Thank you.
Your trick works but the movements are not fluid, it hugely train, much more than before.

  • The smoothing is an iterative process and is slow by nature, there is not much you can do about that.

Okay. Thank you. It's a pity. DAZ3D would have improved this.

In an ideal world, it would only update when you rotate a joint or apply a morph. But it gets reset and applied even when you just move a figure where the shape doesn't change at all. That should indeed be fixed. But there's so much more important stuff to get to that I doubt they'll ever fix it. For example, multi-collision would be much more useful IMO.

And by adding multi-collision some of the existing problems may just go away...

We should express these ideas in "product suggestions", unless it has already been done: Adding multi-collision and collision fixing.
