deleting animation timeline and keys with keymate?

Is there a way to start the timeline again from scratch without having to just make a new file, even when g8 is saved alone as a scene subset , when she is merged into a scene the keyframes come in with her,

In the timeline when I click on a keyframe it doesnt select so the delete icon stays greyed out

It's a long-standing bug.  Do a "Marquee" selection round it.

You did say, however, using KeyMate; this doesn't have the bug; KeyMate just works.

In both cases you have to enable *all* the property types to delete the *whole* key.  For the timeline turn on TRSOAH (yes, all of them), for KeyMate it's just TRSV.  I've obviously been doing this for too many years, I just remember those letters...

There may be a separate bug WRT that still, I'm pretty sure it has been discussed before.  IRC this might work round it:

where do I find enable *all* the property types

Go to the bottom of the "Timeline", normally at the bottom of the screen, after all the total/blah/blah stuff you will see something called "Types" with a drop-down arrow:

Click on said drop-down arrow and carefully check every check box; there are six "TRSOAH".  At that point things should be both selectable and deletable.

You can just leave it that way, but if you have a large product library and you do a keyframe at the "Ojbect" level you may care to watch all of season one of "Rings of Power" before you come back to do something useful with DAZ.

EDIT: here is the screenshot again without the DAZ stupid aspect ratio limit (i.e. I squooze it in X):
