In The Market For A New PC

Hello!
I don't post here very often; I think this is my second time here, so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place.
I am in the market for a new PC since my old one is nearly a decade old and was not built with DAZ in mind. I was hoping some people here could help me since I'm not very knowledgeable about computers.
I'll set the price range to about $3,500.00 for the PC.
The PC needs to be built with DAZ3D in mind as its primary function, but can also be used for gaming.
Thanks!

I'm surprised no one answered the call. People are usually bursting at the seams with information.
Were you planning on making an attempt to acquire the parts and then assemble yourself or have someone do it for you?
This forum thread about iray rendering hardware benchmarking could be insightful since it provides some PC specs throughout - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/341041/daz-studio-iray-rendering-hardware-benchmarking#latest
Could give you a good general idea of what other people are using.
A recent Nvidia RTX GPU with minimum 8GB's of VRAM (preferably more) and minimum 32GB's of RAM is all it takes to run DAZ Studio, but when one gets hooked, one is going to need a 4TB external USB drive for the content.
12gb min RTX GPU and 64gb RAM. 1000w PSU for future GPU upgrades
Daz-wise, CPU doesn't make a huge difference.
You want as much VRAM on your video card as you can afford. From the looks of it, the 4090-series right now doesn't have much of a performance increase in Daz, but that doesn't mean that it will always be this way. It's possible that a newer version of Daz will utilize the new CUDA drivers and wind up using the full potential of the card. But...there's no info on when that's coming down the pike.
That said, you're also going to want to consider future upgradability.

There could probably be some tweaking to suit your needs. But, I'd definitely go min Ryzen 7 or i7 CPU.
agreed - as a minimum on the gpu.
That's my hang-up right now...I've got an RTX 3070, which isn't bad but starving for VRAM.
...a few caveats about the specs above. First, there may be a delay before the 4090 will be useable with Daz like we've seen with past releases of Nvidia GPUs. Second, I would recommend 128 GB for system memory particularly if you plan to get them most out of that 24 GB of RAM. Textures are the biggest issue and 4k is pretty much the norm with 8K showing up now and then Textures by far take the most VRAM/memory compared to geometry. If the Daz drive is a conventional HDD (type not specified above) I'd consider at least 4 TB.
With a huge $3500 budget, I would probably build a 4090 , AMD 7600, B650 motherboard, 64GB ddr 5 system.
