    Hello.

If Google Translate has got this question right then moving your assets to an external hard drive is not that difficult - nor does it really need a Mac-specific guide. I posted some steps to do this on this thread to help someone who wanted to move their assets to a different drive. I use both Mac and Windows and there isn't really any difference to how you'd configure them except for the path format.

No idea if my answer will translate well for you tho so maybe someone who speaks native German will be able to assist.

  • Hello,

thank you very much for your great help. That was the best guide to my problem. I would no longer be afraid to touch the DAZ data and push it back and forth. I copied almost everything to another SSD hard drive and then opened a few files in DAZ and there was no problem and they opened. Thank you again I have a question How did you know that I live in Germany? Are you perhaps also in Germany and even better in Berlin?

I wish you all the best and thank you again.

    I'm glad I could help :)

Sorry, I am not from Germany, nor can I speak German myself. I have only spent 2 days in Berlin and that was quite a few years ago now. Since the subject line was in English I had an idea about what your thread would be about and used google-translate to convert your question into English to double-check.

  • How do you install your content?

  • Hallo,

In the beginning I installed everything with DIM and had no problems, but I've been trying Das Central for about a year and since then I've only had problems. Today I wanted to do the Central update, I thought maybe it would get better, but it didn't work out. Every time I try to update again, DC reinstalls and when installing no longer works, air and runs for a very long time.

    Many Thanks

  • Well, both use the same data so you should be able to see all your cintent in Install Manager too. Both log the exact location of the installed files, though, so moving the content will break that and for the Daz Central installs at least you won't now have the zips to use the Reinstall using Curent Paths option. Having the correct paths in the installation record matters when uninstalling contetn or instaling updates that remove or move some old files.
