Great health news regarding my Diabetes

You might remember that I was diagnosed with Diabetes back around May of this year. I've made excellent progress in that regard. I had my A1C checked a couple months ago. It was 5! My doctor was pleasantly surprised. He asked what my secret was. It's very simple. I just stopped eating all the excess sweets. I do eat desert at lunch. The doctor cut my insulin dosage in half. I'm happy it was so easy for me. I just can't handle counting carbs and stuff.

Thank you all for such enthusiastic and supportive responses. I remain deliriously happy that I was able to handle my Diabetes with so little effort. I am somewhat lazy, and easily confused. That's why I remain an amateur with DAZ Studio after so many years!

Well, good for you. My weakness is sweets. Here is my A1C log over the years. At the borderline for prediabetic, just one shot of Trulicity every two weeks. Doc is thinking of taking me down to just Metformin again. It's a big deal coming back to normal. Proud of You ( Insert Proper Pronoun Here.)devil

I'm a long term Type 1 on intensive insulin thaerapy.. after 25 years my A1C is 7.0 consistently, which is considered by my daibetes specialst to be pretty good all things considered (including the fact that I'm 72) MY family doctor is happy, my opthamoligist is happy...

Keep up the good work, you really want to keep your eyes, kidneys and toes.. :)  Diabetes is a tricky thing to manage at times..

A1C of 5 is "normal".  Insulin - Why not Metformin or Jardiance?  Insulin causes too much blood sugar fluctuation, which can cause weight gain - Your big enemy.
