I wish they'd put up a banner for the gift card discount. I had no idea what you were talking about until I really went through the sales page.
Yeah. Technically, I paid $400 for five hundred bucks gift card. And it means I've got the whole bundle for free plus extra $22 (100-78=22). The bundle was once $61 at the lowest price day. But I think 20% gift card is a lot more worthy. This is not true only if the value of "special gift" they promised is greater than $22.
The sales page says "own or buy the bundle or V9", those who preordered it have access to the promo too.
There have been gift card sales the past two days.
Do gift cards stack with other discounts?
Store credit you get from gift card is used to pay based on the cart total after the various discounts, if that's what you meant.
The only surprise (not really) was that (again) Daz totally messed up a pre-order. Like they already did with the Mystery Grab Bag (plus on some other occasions). Some of us do not yet have the pre-oder items in their libarry, almost 8 hrs after the items have been made available to the "normal" customers. Plus, none of the two preoder bonus items have been added. They mess it up again, and again, and again.
Lessons learned: do not ever again go with any Daz pre-oder.
Gift cards, once redeemed for store credit, are basically like money here and any discount will work the same as if you are paying cash. The only exception to this (and rightfully so) is that you can not buy gift cards with store credit, because you could just endlessly stack discounts over and over on your gift card to store credit loop, and basically turn a $1 gift card into thousands in store credit.
Unless the result is favorable at some point, like waiting a day longer for stuff to work...
It's annoying, but given that i didn't even know, when exactly they'd bring gen 9, it wouldn't matter that much to me, if it's fixed soon. It does, though, add to the potential of me not buying further gen 9 stuff, before issues are sorted out. For me, the tooling is more important than a specific figure not working or being delayed. I'm not all users, of course...

So I still don't have the answer. I was really curious what the "special gift" that DAZ team promised to give to the presale buyers. I was tempted but dare not.
