Hi,
I was wondering ... is there any way or maybe a workaround to apply G8 Skins to a G9 figure (since they have different UVs). Maybe with the map transfer tool?
Thank you :)

In order to use Map Transfer, you'd have to have G9's UV on G8. There isn't a way to do this yet, although I'm sure one will come along soon, whether simply porting G8's UVs to G9 will work or whether it will require geografts like Cayman's legacy UV products.
Inside Daz Studio: not until someone makes UVs that support old textures.
But if you can overlap the shapes (via using the clone and pose adjustment) you can use external software to rebuild maps for new UVs, like in Blender or Blacksmith.
The problem is that the surface groups don't match, so you can't just use a new set of UVs. You could bake the maps using a pair of onbjects, one ofr each figure, with one rshaped to match the other (AutoFit clone should help there) in another application - Blender, I think, would do.
Looking at how the various parts of the bodie textures are set out, I don't see folks being able to use older generation textures on G9. For one the head texture is a completely different shape, and there are holes in either side for the ears and the neck is now a part of the head texture.
As such the torso texture is completely different, the arms are nearly the same but the legs are different.
Getting shapes to align could be done with something like R3DS Wrap pretty easily.
the old software xNormal is pretty good for texture transfer from one UV to another.
(Id probably put all G8 textures on single UDIM before transfering to G9's single UDIM UV map)
