eGPU/Razer Core X users - need help!

Anyone out there who uses an eGPU with their laptop? I read some success stories on this forum but I'm having some issues.

My set up is the ASUS Zephyrus M16 2022 w/ Core i9 & 3080TI 16GB. Added for extra rendering CUDA power a few weeks ago was my Razer Core X with a desktop 3080 TI 12GB. I had some driver issues which I think I fixed by rolling back to an earlier game ready driver. 

My new problem is when I render in Daz3D it will complete, for instance, an animation of 200 frames. Then I'll switch to another scened or sequence to render and it could either freeze while rendering. Sometimes after I restart my laptop with the eGPU running it I'll restart Daz and begin to render and it will freeze very early on or even working in the program, not rendering, with the Razer Core running the program will just stop. Is running the Core X intensive on the CPU? It does get really hot. 95C average. But it gets hot with the eGPU not running and Daz will render completely and not shut down.
