GoZ question

Mac people - have you been able to get GoZ to work since you upgraded to the new DAZ 4.21 version? If so, did you have to do anything to make it work (I had to tweak things in the last DAZ version to get it to work back then. But those tweaks don't do the trick this time)? HELP!

I hadn't tried it till I saw this, but I just did, and it worked without a problem... did you get the GoZ update along with the DAZ update? I've had problems in the past -- I wrote a long and detailed post on instructions on how to fix them a couple of years ago -- but none with this version.
I've been using it all the time with no issues. I'm trying to remember if I had to install a new goz but can't remember. If goZ is up to date maybe reset the preferences in Zbrush might work but I didn't have to.
Thanks for replying.
Yes I installed it using DAZ Install manager along with the new DAZ 4.21 that came out today. But it doesn't work for me. BTW: I also (previously) updated to the latest version of ZBrush. I don’t know if that has a bearing on it or not. I am frustrated.
Is there anyone else out there that has the same problem but figured out how to get it to work?
Ahhh...I still have the latest update waiting to install. It might wait a bit longer as I want the bridge.
You can do it the old fashioned way of exporting and object and importing it into Zbrush. Cinema 4D is the best scale to use. In addition it will give you the polygroups what it won't do is give a sub divided mesh. It will come in as a base resolution.
In install manager, have you installed the +Beta+ or the normal GoZ ?
I usually work in the +Beta+ version of DAZ Studio and thus have the GoZ +Beta+ installed. Occationally when DAZ updates it will uninstall GoZ+Beta+ and instead install the normal GoZ. Simply rectified by going into Install Manager and installing GoZ+Beta+ and then go into ZBrush and change its GoZ setting to point to the +Beta+version of DAZ Studio.
Pendraia: Thanks for the exporting to OBJ tip. I did not know that it would preserve the polygroups. — Nice tip. Also the Exporting as Cinema 4D is helpful.
surreal: Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately (I guess since DAZ 4.21 was just released), I don’t see a beta version that I can install. Oh well.
FYI for everyone: Way back in 2017 I saved the: Shared> Pixologic> GoZApps> DAZStudio64 folder. Out of desperation, I the replaced the new DAZStudio64 folder with the old one and whalah! GoZ works again!
I used to have to use this folder for years though all of the updates until the 4.20 update. At that time I followed someone’s steps and was able to fix the problem with using ZBrush’s GoZ_for_ZBrush_Installer_OSX and then redefining the DAZ location within ZBrush. But this didn’t work this time. So I finally remembered that folder. Boy am I glad that I didn’t throw it away.
Now if anyone has another fix, I sure would like to know it. I figure one of these days this old folder with its app and docs won’t work anymore.
