Can't Add Hair

Hi Guys, suffering the frustrating problem of not being able to add hair to my character to get her finished off. It should be compatible with my AIko 3 character (Amanda hair) but just won't show up.

I'm wondering if this may be to do with it not having loaded up properly? I tried loading it from Daz Central and have reinstalled Daz 3D from there incase of issues, but I do still have a DAZ3DIM app on my computer too - should it be there?

The hair shows in the content library but not on any other tabs.

    Are you sure it is the hair you are trying to load, not a materials preset?

    I'm not sure at all, on a huge learning curve.

    When I'm on the Smart Content tab and filtering by context, it's not showing up, just shows in the content library as a .pz2 file.

    What tab should the actual hair be in?

    PZ2 is a Poser pose file, which may well be used as a material setting (Poser didn't have a built-in format for those until version 6). The hair model would be in the hair or figure library, depending on whether it had bones of its own (Figure) or was a static object, possibly with morphs (Hair)

    Ah thanks, it's not showing in either of those areas so I'm back to thinking that maybe it hasn't installed correctly. I think I read about there being some installation issues if you used DAZ3DIM first, instead of Daz Central. I'm wondering if I should try uninstalling the DAZ3DIM app.

    DIM and Daz central will use the same install locations - they have diffrent defaults, but whichever you use first will be applied.

    Which hair product is this? it is always possible that what you have is just a texture expansion.

    I don't have that specific Hair product, but I have several others by the same maker - with luck it can be found in a similar location to those.

    Try looking in Content Library under Poser Formats and your content library name (is that My Daz Library? I'm not sure because I use customised library names) for

    Figures - AmandaHair
    or
    Figures - RDNA Pro - AmandaHair
    or
    Figures - RDNA Pro - HairA3

    Failing this, there is probably a ReadMe text file which you can find (not in Daz Studio but in your normal file browser) in your content library in a sub-folder called "ReadMe's" or in "Runtime/readme"

    I thought I had that but apaprently it is oen I lack, or at least the Aiko 3 fit is. There also isn't a readme, so I can't ber sure of the paths but the product page does say it is a CR2 so it will be in the Figures library under Poser Formats.
