how can I make the ropes moving? on boxing stage?

Hey! I have few boxing arenas but lets say I use this one : FG Tough Boxing Gym | Daz 3D

How can I make the rope moving if the character lay on it or touch it? I have more arenas if that one can move , Thanks :)

  • First thing to check is whether the ropes are split into several polygons along their length - switch to a wrire Drawstyle, using the sphere icon next to the camera/view picker button at top-right of the Viewport and look to see if the are lines runnign around the ropes at intervals. If the rope isn't split into segments (and the product you list looks pretty straight so it may not be) then the only way to do it would be by modelling new ropes (or possibly just replacing them with cylinder primitives with divisions along the length). If you do have, or create, ropes with divisions then you could just use a dFormer.

The rropes are not cut in to segments so they cannot be made to flex.

Hey! We actually discussed this a while ago, if you recall. About Boxing Stages Ropes. I see that it might have been a bit technical for a beginner, but maybe now you are ready to try it? The sticky point is having ropes with enought mesh density.

On the D-Form tab pane, there are a number of buttons, one of which is "Edit Spline...". It will open a graph of the current curve, which you can modify by dragging the control points. In my example, I had made it a straight line, so that the ropes stay straight when using the D-Former.

The DForm tab, not the Parameters Tab. You might need to open it from the menu (Window-> Panes (Tabs)->DForm)
