Why this not change color to black (have picture)

Hey every one! I have the nice pack of piercing Piercing Collection | Daz 3D and Alternative Piercing Pack for Genesis 8 Female | Daz 3D.

It works very well and I love it! But when I click on the piercing and put the black / red or what ever color it wont change : / any one know why?

and one more question this pack wont work on Genesis 8 girl at all right : Vario Piercings for Genesis 8.1 Female | Daz 3D

    Are you rendering, using a rendered Drawstyle, or using an OpenGL drawstyle?

    I usually put the prop and the matirial on it and it change , but when I put the metirial color on the piercing nothing happen  , all the piercing not only this but its to show what I mean :)

    That is a shader preset - you need both the prop and its surface selected, most easily with the Surface Selection tool.
