    Oh the number of times I've done this recently...!

    Actually the framing box does work with Surface Selector as long as you have a surface selected - I use that a lot to zoom into a specific part of an outfit or building. The problem is when you click away from the selected bit.

    Why would you frame nothing? If you wanted to frame a whole scene you'd then have to select every item.

    If nothing is selected in the scene tab while the node selector is used and you click the frame button, then the entire scene is framed.
