Which renders faster, a large picture or a small picture?

All things staying the same, which will render faster in general?  A large picture or a small picture?  I love some of the premade scenes I got in the Platinum Anniversary bundles, but they seem to all want to render at fairly large sizes.  I'm trying to cut down the time my computer is tied up doing these renders.

The larger the slower, since it has more work to do.

Providing they are the same settings and all you are adjusting is the image size.

Note, that it will take up more GPU RAM too.
