Search causing shut down

Basics

!. Have two verions of Daz Studio installed. 4.21 and 4.15.

I have over 34 Runtime folders each containing 0ver 50 gb of products (separate external hard drive)

All of this has existed for some time and worked extremely well.

Irritating problem:

The search feature when utilized ,causes an immediate shutdown error. (both versions)

Has anyone seen this before\

If so.

What can I do?

Which search, Content Library or Smart Content (or both)? Have you checked the drive for errors? Do you get a crash report or does it just exit straight to desktop?

In the interest of full disclosure:

My Daz libraries consist of 34 Runtimes.

This totals 1.63tb of content.

It is spread over 1,808,617 files  223.556 folders

I have lived with the expectation that sooner or later The content Library search would give up.

Since this problem is now showing in both daz programs at the same time, could I have reached a limit>

Only content library (have never used smart content)
