Why does Daz Studio constantly need updating and why does it always stick at 78%?

It seems that every time I open up Daz Central it wants me to update Daz Studio which always takes forever because it keeps getting suck. First at 78% and then I have to close it down and re-open it after which it gets stuck at about 85% and so on. Then lately it says 'installation will begin after previous installations' ??

So I close it and re-open it and again... it's stuck back at 78%!

It is not just Daz Studio that it is isntalling/updating but various associated files, using Daz Install Manager and telling it not to run the default product bundle feature at start up will avoid this.

I just need Daz and Blender bridge. Would it still update both of these if I used your method? Also, I don't know actually how to run the options you mentioned. If you could elaborate? thanks

I think there is an auto update switch in the settings menu at the top right corner , look for the gear icon

After repeatedly encountering the very problems you describe, I have given up on expecting Daz Central to update DAZ Studio. Now I use the Daz Install Manager, which works without problem. Uninstall the older version first.
