Upgraded Daz - Renders come out black and NVIDIA Iray crashes it.

Today I bought a bunch of new models and updated to Daz to 4.21 64bit.

Since then, any image im able to Render, crashes Daz to the desktop when I change to NVIDIA Iray view.

Certain Objects, like Cyber Flying Food Truck, causes Daz to render straight to black.

I've gotten "Duplicates Formulas Found" for the last year but it hasn't caused a problem.

My 2080i GIGABYTE Video cards havent had a prolbem before either.

Now sure what happening but I included images.

How do I fix this?

Did you update your Nvidia drivers? Use the Studio driver, not Game Ready driver.

I upgraded my Nvidia driver days ago. It hasn't been a problem until I updated Daz.

    It IS a Studio Driver.

...I'm using game ready driver 473.62 on W7 and not having issues with rendering in the 4.21.0.5 general release.

It is also updated, which is the problem. Roll back to the 517 Studio driver, which was the Studiop driver at the time the advice was given.

How do I roll back to a previous driver?

I have two of these NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080's.

For some reason, I can't Roll Back Driver.

    HOW DO I FIX THIS?

If you go to NVidia dribers and choose 'beta and older drivers' a little down the page, you should be able to find an older driver and install.

    Go here - https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us# ;

I am running the 517.48 drivers for my 980TI and I am NOT having issues with Daz Studio 4.21.0.5.  dForce works just fine and I have not had an issue with shaders or rendering.

  • Ran the same file in DAZ Studio 4.15 (64-bit) Public Build +BETA. This time, it showed me some sort of review when it crashed.

Completely uninstall your driver. Do not allow Windows to install or update your graphics driver. Go to Nvidia directly and install from there.

Also, I'm wondering if something is not correctly installed with Daz. If you can render some things, but not others, that may not be a driver issue. Perhaps some of the shaders did not install correctly. Did you change any of the install paths?

You could try installing the beta and see if it behaves any different.

You are running out of video memory

If you aren't doing dForce simulations:

    a) reduce the subD levels to maximum of 3

    b) if that's not enough, reduce the render size to FHD (then upscale using 3rd party program that is recent enough developed to use nVidia's RTX DLSS (maybe nVidia's OMNIVerse has such an app tucked in it somewhat?)

I have no idea what this means or how to do it. Can you please give me instruction clearly or give me a link to something that will make it clear?

    a) In the parametres pane, with the figure selected, look under the mesh Resolution group and reduce the Render value for divisions.

    b) I'm not sure what FHD is, but size is set in the render Settings pane, in the general group.

    FHD is 1920x1080

  • After down grading my studio drive. The black renders stopped but they began again today. I'm not sure how to get Daz rendering again.

    HOW DO I FIX THIS?
