Could you replicateV9's skin on G8?

I am seriously impressed by the level of detail in the V09 renders. But as I am using prebuilt characters V9 by itself doesn't help me. But are there settings or maybe some particular normal maps for G8 skin textures which would produce a similar effect?

Could it be done? Technically, using the G9 8K mats over a complimentary G8 HD morph would get you fairly close... and there have been several generic HD add-ons in the past that prove that such a generic product is certainly possible, and many UVs that were initially said to not be cross-useable were subsequently proven to be quite usable indeed due to the cleverness of certain PAs. Will it be done? My guess is that such tools are unlikely to come directly from DAZ itself, given that they would greatly negate one of the strongest sales points of G9, that DAZ has been historically loathe to extend any "new" benefit of new bases backwards while they're in the early stages of a product release, and that it would require some method of using the disparate G9 UVs on G8. However, as we know for fact that Cayman Studios is woking on UV Geografts sets to allow the use of G3, G8 and G8.1 UVs on G9, it's certainly possible that DAZ might eventually allow an inverse G9 to G8 UV set at some point in the future... and even if they don't, such a product could still very easily turn up at one at Renderotica, Renderosity, or Renderhub, where more than a few similarly "improbable" products have shown up over the years.
It absolutely can be done. We are just talking about a texture here. I believe the same person who made Victoria 9 also made Victoria 8.1 and several other core characters. So you can find similarities in these models simply because of the artist's style.
It is also possible to transfer a texture from one Genesis to another. After all, the Feminine Texture 1 for G9 is Victoria 8.1 transferred to G9. So Daz converted that texture up, obviously it is possible to convert a G9 texture to G8. But this requires some software that can be expensive (though it does offer a 30 day free trial, so if you work quick enough you can get it done before the trial is over).
