I needed an older asset wich used own HDRI. It comes with 2 options - Preload and Ready Scene... but both options were missing the Environment add-on (or whatever is correct to be named it). I hit render and canceled it quickly only to find out the Environment thingy but with the useless DAZ standard HDR (Ruined something). Now I know I can browse the asset itself, see the name of its HDRI, then start DAZ, hit the render, cancel it, and then load the correct HDRI mannually.

Isn't there a not so silly cimplicated way to do this?

  • Does andding an Enmvironment node (from the Create menu) before applying the preset help?

It still remains with the standard "Ruin something" HDR. I tried the defalt Render Preset too and nothing changed but this gave an idea - the asset itself had Render preset included and it replaced the default Ruin HDR with the needed asset HDRI. But this don't really resolve the problem - the asset had "Ready scene" and a scenes are supposed to load with theirs own lights.

  • Ah, sorry - I thought it was the presets you were using. Yes, if the scene was saved with render settings it should load with them, have you tried adding the settings node and then merging the scene (rather than opening it)? In theory that won't help, but it's a straw to clutch at.
