Honestly I'd prefer Michael models would come out before the Victoria ones.
But my question is: when will Michael 9 come out? I'm anxious to see how the new Michael 9 will be.

He's coming, and Mada says she loves him. I think hope the Michael 8/8.1 slump is over.
I sure hope so. What I fear is that we'll be getting more feminine-leaning clothing and will be expected to be satisfied with that on the males. I hope I'm wrong.
Add another person that would rather have Mike first. I've had V9 since day one and have spent MOST of my time since making custom males for G9. LOLOL
If the pre-8.1/post original Genesis period can be used as a guide, Michael in G2, G3 and G8 tended to come about two months after Victoria. 8.1 was very unusual, but it was not quite the same sort of very major generation change that 9.0 is.
Traditionally it takes several months for Michael to show up after Victoria is released. I think there was one generation where he showed up fairly quickly.
I would like to see Micheal 9 soon but I am also apprehensive. I also fear that the content will be designed to look good on the female shape first and then just turn the slider on.

I'm also waiting for Michael 9. I bought Victoria 9 but really havent done much with her. I'm hoping it won't be long before Michael 9 makes his appearance.
I take it as a good sign that Mada, Daz Originals' top male clothing maker, is already familiar with M9. Maybe they gave her enough time to make some real pants and a shirt with sleeve folds.
I hope it is soon. There is only so much I can do with v9's wardrobe options.
I dont' think there's been a single male figure released yet for G9 unless you count the creatures.
And what's disappointing is it doesn't look like we'll be able to filter G9 content by male or female. We'll have to wade through all of it like with G1.
Vicky 9 converted quite easily to a masculine looking male so I will be very interested to see if Mike 9 converts as easily to a feminine looking female as that's not as easy. And I hope it's out before Thanksgiving or at least as part of the Thankgiving Black Friday/Cyber Monday long weekend.
Don't know, but I am sure it will be jaw-dropping!
When Jay did the video announcement of Genesis 9 back at the end of Sepember, I remember seeing a Michael 9 icon in his Daz Studio as he was demonstating the various aspects of Genesis 9. Whilst that does not prove that M9 is finished, it points to the fact that he has been started, and likely a significant way to being completed.
Naturally the timing of his release will be at the descretion of marketing/
Everyone gets more excited about Michael's release than Victoria's. V9 wouldn't sell as much if M9 came out at the same time. Plus it gives PAs more time to develop clothes, poses, expressions etc. for him.
Speaking of poses....what's with those "Base Masculine" poses for G9? There's nothing masculine about them. They're just copies of the feminine poses.
I deleted them off my hard drive ;). Converted a folder full of Shimuzu's G8M poses. MUCH better. LOL

I have no idea when. I've seen a WiP pic of him though and he looks fantastic.
For me Michael has always played a secondary role to most other male characters like david, freak and brute (and with G8 there are a lot others I prefer over him) but I've still gotten nearly all versions at some point. M4 and M8 were okay but I didn't much care for M6 and never got M7 as I skipped Genesis 3. Michael 5 was probably my favorite overall but I do use M8's skin for other characters, and at times I dial in a bit of his head as well.
Here's wondering which of them the new Michael will resemble most or if they went with something completely different. Out of the box that is.

I think Michael can stay what he's always been. Daz did pretty good on the African representation last couple of Genesis figures. Hopefully that'll continue. If it doesn't, I'll just make my own! Wait...did that already. LOLOL

I could go for a white latino... or what I think a white latino looks anyway, so a mixed Latin American and European (or American of European descent) I guess? Eh, I'm not 100% sure since we don't use the trm "latino" here. They tend to have the mixture of facial features and that permanently tanned look I like the most. Naturally this is fully (and probably falsely) formed stereotype from all the Hollywood hunks as we don't really have many folks here who are of Latin American origin and marginally more of Hispanics (mostly from Spain) - and actually all of the ones I have met are very different from the TV hunk image, so...
If I look into my render history I tend to render mostly white and mixed characters but I tend to avoid the pasty white skin a lot of us Nordics have and in fact prefer rendering dark skinned characters over that one. I'd say it's about 25% black and 75% others. Not counting monsters which can be of any color. No conscious or subconscious bias in action there as far as I can tell.
I think I've a lot of bias towards Asian characters as the only asian stereotype that I render is the "wise old asian master". I actually tried to think of a real life examples of Asian actors that I'd like to have as the potential "ethnically Asian Michael"... and realized they are pretty much all American that have just a single Asian parent. Naturally this also depends on what you consider Asian considering Asia covers multiple cultural regions... I mean Arab Michael might be interesting to have.
I guess I just like mixed people...

I just need some malle characters with actual anatomical element materials mats. Victoria 9's male skins are nice but when I get the occasional request for a Greek God type render, a freckle faced Scottish boy just won't do.
I am hoping against hope that Mike 9 isn't freckled. Or has vitiligo either, for that matter. Nothing against either one, but I'd like a caucasion, a latino or a lighter skinned black with NO facial or head hair. :P The skins supplied with G9 are very DARK and freckled african skins, latino/east indian skins that are really dark around the eyes, a female asian with what looks like acne and an asian male with facial hair and a caucasian male with short shaved head hair. I don't really NEED to, but I may HAVE to buy at least a few G9 characters just for the skins :P
He's gonna be an outback Aussie or something with a "video game" / "adventurer" angle too it.
I bought Vicki because I always buy Vicki and DAZ gave me an erxtra $10.00 off Vicki when they released her so that was an incentive to go ahead and get her.. I bought VYK Sydney, CB Arceli, & MSO Peppa just for their skins (well in Mossou's case, I have to have at lease one of her characters). Will have to wait uutil Zev) updates his Brow Remover to remove the painted eyebrows on VYK Sydney's skin to really use her skin on anything other than a Red Head. I am hoping for a good masculine skin for Michael 9.
