Pattern Shaved Head Hair for Genesis 8 Males or only for G 8.1 Males?

I like the product from what I can see here: https://www.daz3d.com/pattern-shaved-head-hair-for-genesis-8-males

It's titled "For Genesis 8 Males," but then it lists "Compatible Figures: Genesis 8.1 Male."

It would be much more useful to me if I could use it on Genesis 8 as well as 8.1. So, does anyone know? Will this work on both  G8 and G8.1?

I have a minor issue with both 8.1 and 8 male characters.  There's a small area on the back of the hair that doesn't follow the head shape there.  I've tried changing the smoothing and collision parameters and it just won't go away.  There are no shaping adjustment dials on the hair, though you might be able to unhide the hair cap's z-scale parameter and bump it up a tiny bit to fix it.

The hair is essentially a hair cap (skull cap) with different texture, opacity, bump/displacement maps applied to give it the cool styles.

I wish it had some basic fit adjustment dials, but I don't see any.

I solved the issue with the hair not quite following the head shape.

The hair loads with "Generic" smoothing type selected.  Changing that to "Base Shape Matching" immediately took care of it.

So it works on G8M. At least with my quick test on a mildly morphed G8M character. :)

*edit* - I also just tried unhiding the hidden scale dials and adjusted Scale to 100.1% which also seems to work fine.
