Ok, now that we have DAZ interested in how the store search works, are we finally going to see some changes in mis-categorisation of products "soon"?
In addition to obvious mistakes (adding people to products with no people in them), sometimes the categories are just missing (where are the tags for clothing and female in sample 3?)

I've been seeing this for a while. In my case it is drilling down in the store to show people for a given gender and generation and seeing numerous items of clothing.
Started during the Storepocalypse. People category prior to November 2020 contained only people. Now it's about 30 to 40 percent people. It's more like a Miscellaneous category.
It's not that big a deal to me, just distracting. Looking for a person, not that person, oh look at that outfit.
I've seen this and have given up on searching for people this way since it's so broken. Clothes are not people and makes it really hard to search for a model when a bunch of clothes are returned in the search results.
My guess is that PAs might be thinking if they made clothes for Genesis 8 they should add that as a tag, but there should be a way to search for Genesis 8 clothes vs a Genesis 8 character or morph.
There IS a way to search for Genesis 8 clothes: People and Wearables > Clothing and Accessories > Sci-fi | Intimates and Swimwear | Everyday | Fantasy | Jewelry and Headwear | Shoes and Footwear | dForce | Vendor. Then, on the lefthand side, open Figure and check/tick Genesis 8. But miscategorisation makes this a hit or miss proposition, and the results won't be comprehensive.
Makes the whole thing pointless when it's abused at that level.
It's essentially returning random results.
I just typed in "Character" into the store search and I get environments, clothes, poses, video seminars, and feature plugins, and some actual characters mixed in the results.
Not going to be easy to locate new G9/V9 characters with that. Or anything else for that matter.
Thank you for your insight into part of the problem.
I hope Daz can get control of this situation and make a better experience for shoppers here.
A year ago, they promised a fix "soon"...
