Photoshop bridge to Photoshop elements 2023?

I'm planning on getting Photoshop 2023 in a few weeks. Due to various reasons such as it easy to use and it a one-time purchase. But I was wondering if Photoshop bridge works with Photoshop elements?

Comments

  • As far as I know the Bridge requires the full application, not Elements. That has certainly been the case in the past.

Hey, since Photoshop went from being purchaseable software to a subscription service does that make this a toll bridge?

    LMAO! good one!

  • Bridge doesn't work with Elements, also because Elements doesn't provide any 3D support.

I see. Thank you for answering my question.

Ah I see now,how unfortunate. But thanks for answering my question.
  • Bridge does not require any 3D featues in Photoshop anyway, not that it is relevant here.

Photoshop's 3D features have been discontinued since (it was pure crap) they bought Allegorithmic in january 2019 and now have a full suite of 3D painting apps.

And yes, it's a bridge to Photoshop. Not Elements.

You can no longer buy a stand-alone version of Photoshop, or any of Adobe’s products since 2013 (about time to set your record straight). All of Adobe is : by subscription only.

If you saw a way to buy Adobe Photoshop permanently, then don't take out your credit : it's a scam.

Don't be fooled by appearances. I have insanely talented 2D designer friends working in the game industry for 20+ years. But they'd tell you that they know probably only 10% of Photoshop. It's a way more deep app than it seems at first.

You should probably try (except if you can afford the subscription of course, then most definitely go for Photoshop) Krita. Free open-sourced option that also excels in digital painting. Both apps are very "similar".

Photoshop Elements still has a perpetual license. Photoshop doesn't.

+1 to this, and Photoshop elements has many of the full version features. It might not be quite as up to date as the full version, but they keep adding in new stuff and you can use layers, masks and PS brushes in it.

If what you say is true. Then why is Adobe selling Photoshop elements 2023 on both their website and amazon as a one time purchase as a perpetual license? https://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Photoshop-Elements-Software-Download/dp/B0B94TFTDB/ref=mp_s_a_1_7_sspa?crid=ZMKM4KTP5M00&keywords=photoshop+elements+2022&qid=1667762706&sprefix=photoshop+elements+2022,aps,146&sr=8-7-spons&psc=1 And why is no one complaining about being Subscription base.Granted thought now reading my previous reply. It does sounds like I'm talking about regular Photoshop. So I guess this is proof I need to reread what I type.

And it a bit easier to learn and pick up, compare to Photoshop cc. At least that what I been told. Could be dead wrong.

If I may ask you another question. Even with out the bridge I can still use Photoshop elements to clean up renders, post works, and texturing, just like regular Photoshop?

Yes, the bridges are just more conveninet ways of sending data between applications. It is still possible to do the same taks, in those applications or others with similar features, by saving/exporting and loading/importing.
